Tamara de Lempicka (May 16, 1898 - March 18, 1980), born Maria Gorska in Warsaw, Poland, was a Polish Art Deco painter.

Born into a wealthy and prominent family, her father was a Polish lawyer, her mother, the former Malvina Decler, a Polish socialite. Maria was the middle child with two siblings. She attended boarding school in Lausanne, Switzerland, and spent the winter of 1911 with her grandmother in Italy and the French Riviera, where she was treated to her first taste of the Great Masters of Italian painting. Jason Shawn Alexander (B. 1975) Painter and draftsman from Tennessee, currently resides and works in Los Angeles, California. Though modern in its subject matter, Alexander’s work pulls, still, from the vulnerability, fear, and underlying strength that come from his rural upbringing. Much like good Delta Blues, his work maintains a sense of pain and passion which steers Alexander away from the standard “isms” that, in his words, “tend to muddy up what’s really important”. The result is something heartbreakingly genuine.

"It’s probably not a coincidence that Jason Shawn Alexander, in his bio, mentions the Blues, and that when I first saw his paintings I immediately got a Muddy Waters song in my head. Alexander’s work just looks like it hums along a sweaty slide guitar chord, singing its pain and prosperity through a haze of smoke. You can tell that something bad is happening to or around his subjects, but also that they’re just people so it can’t be bad forever. His gritty, drippy, and dark style lends an ominous air, like a fresh grave, and the subject’s poses humanize the whole thing. This is the whole package."

Camilla d'Errico is a product of her split heritage, Italian and Canadian rolled into one: Italian fiestiness, Canadian politeness, and an early addiction to Saturday morning cartoons and comics. Her first love was and still is comics. Growing up she was more often doodling sexy damsels and dragons on her textbooks than reading them. In 1998, Camilla first attended her first San Diego Comic Con where upon the moment she walked through the doors she realised that a 9–5 day job would kill her and this was what she wanted to do.

After a few years in the comic industry Camilla expanded her style into a variety of other ventures: snowboard decals, magazine covers, toys, clothes and the pop art gallery scene. Thanks to her relentless energy, dedication, and sleep deprivation, she has followed her dream of working creatively for a living. She is part of what may be the first art movement in Western History where women are not second-class citizens, but have an edge in the mind of the public, especially when it comes to capturing the essence of the modern woman.

Camille Rose Garcia was born in 1970 in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the generic suburbs of Orange County, visiting Disneyland and going to punk shows with the other dissenchanted youth of that era. Her paintings of creepy cartoon children living in wasteland fairy tales are critical commentaries on the failures of capitalist utopias. Creative influences include Phillip K. Dick, William Burroughs, Henry Darger,Walt Disney, as welll as politically aware bands like The Clash and Dead Kennedys. Her recent solo show, Ultraviolenceland, explored ideas of violence and empire.
Her work has appeared in Flaunt Magazine, Rolling Stone, Juxtapoz, and Paper Magazine, among others. She currently lives in Los Angeles.

His collected works belong to several private, public and corporate collections, namely the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris, France. The Dean Valentine collection in Los Angeles, California. And the Hort Collection in New York. In addition his works have been part of the Art in Embassies Program in Brazil. Also, the artist is a member of FeCuOp, a collaborative group based in Miami, Florida that experiments with social interactions and art.

Curiel is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honors, including the Cintas Fellowship Prize, the Robert Schoelkopf Traveling Fellowship from Yale University School of Art.

Christian Curiel was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Cuban parents in 1977. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the Yale School of Art in New Haven, Connecticut.

The themes in Audrey Kawasaki's work are contradictions within themselves. Her work is both innocent and erotic. Each subject is attractive yet disturbing. Audrey's precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau. Her sharp graphic imagery is combined with the natural grain of the wood panels she paints on, bringing an unexpected warmth to enigmatic subject matter.

The figures she paints are seductive and contain an air of melancholy. They exist in their own sensually esoteric realm, yet at the same time present a sense of accessibility that draws the observer to them. These mysterious young women captivate with the direct stare of their bedroom eyes.

Egon Schiele (June 12, 1890 – October 31, 1918) (pronounced [ˈʃiːlə], approximately SHEE-luh) was an Austrian painter, a protégé of Gustav Klimt, and a major figurative painter of the early 20th century.

Schiele's body of work is noted for the intensity and the large number of self-portraits he produced. The twisted body shapes that characterize Schiele's paintings and drawings make the artist a notable exponent of Expressionism. The most important collection of Schiele's work is housed in the Leopold Museum, Vienna.

Egon Schiele was born in Tulln on the Danube. His father, Adolf, worked for the Austrian State Railways as a station master; his mother, Marie, was from Krumau, in Bohemia. As a child, he attended the school run by the Stift Klosterneuburg, where his arts teacher K.L. Strauch recognized and supported Schiele's artistic talent.

Tyler Rollins Fine Art is pleased to present the first solo exhibition for Ronald Ventura in the United States. One of the most acclaimed contemporary artists from the Philippines, Ventura has garnered significant international attention in recent years. He now ranks among the leading younger artists in Southeast Asia.

Entitled Metaphysics of Skin, the exhibition features a new series of paintings – some large in scale – along with sculptures and works on paper. It marks Ventura’s first showing since his major solo exhibition at the NUS Museum in Singapore, Mapping the Corporeal, in 2008. While the Singapore show explored the inner mechanics of the body, Ventura’s new works take inspiration from the human skin itself.

Ventura views skin as an expressive surface – written on with tattoos, concealed under layers of imagery, or exploding outwards to reveal an inner world of fantasy and conflict. Making ample use of the bravura techniques that he is known for, Ventura combines images and styles ranging from hyperrealism to cartoons and graffiti. The paintings have a complex layering that creates unexpected juxtapositions of images and moods.

Ventura takes this layering process as a metaphor for the multifaceted national identity of the Philippines. Over the centuries, the profound influences of various occupying powers – Spain, Japan, and the United States – along with the underlying indigenous culture, have produced a complex and at times uneasy sense of identity. Ventura explores this historic and psychic phenomenon through a dialogue of images evoking East and West, high and low, old and young – seen, for example, in allusions to Old Master paintings or Japanese and American cartoons. He draws our attention to the “second skin” of cultural signifiers that each person carries with him, however unwittingly.

Metaphysics of Skin is a compelling and provocative statement about contemporary life from one of the Philippines’ most dynamic visual artists.

Zhou Fan was born in 1983 in Shanxi Province in northern China.

In 2006, Zhou Fan graduated from the art department of Shanxi University. He participated in a solo exhibition and several group exhibition in his home province that year.

Zhou Fan participated in a museum show in 2007 called "Art Design" at the Zendai Art Museum in Shanghai, one of the top art museums in China's financial capital.

In late 2007, Zhou Fan was selected as one of the top 25 emerging Chinese artists (out of over 1300 applicants) at the Chinese Art Prize (CAP) by important international art critics, including Gerard Goodrow (Director of the globally famos Art Cologne) and Jeff Kelley (Curator of the Asian Art Museum in California). Zhou Fan was given the "special mention" prize, which had never been awarded before. The Chinese Art Prize launched Zhou Fan's career, and allowed him to gain much more exposure.

Also in 2007, Zhou Fan participated in Art Beijing, one of the top art expositions in China.

In 2008, Zhou continued to exhibit globally, with a group show in New York and an excellent reception for his work at Art Cologne in Germany, one of the world's most important art expositions. And in October 2008, Zhou Fan had his first big solo show at Art Scene China in Shanghai.

Zhou Fan's work was exhibited at the Doland Museum of Modern Art in Shanghai in 2009. The artist's work was also exhibited at the Toronto International Art Fair (TIAF) in October that year. Earlier in the year, Zhou Fan also held shows in Dubai and Bahrain in the Middle East.
